Meet Aaron (Kyle Gallner), a bright but sheltered freshman embarking on a new Ivy League adventure and all that it entails. However, college life turns out to be more complicated than Aaron expected when he meets Linda (Laura Allen), a vivacious former wild-child who has returned to college to straighten out her life. When Linda invites him home for dinner, he meets Beth (Britt Robertson), Linda's sarcastic, intense 14-year-old daughter who immediately develops an aggressive, yet unwelcome, crush on him. Caught between his feelings for Linda and Beth’s feelings for him, the triangle becomes more dysfunctional as Aaron learns that life can be more complicated than any engineering equation.
