The story of Julius Bamberger and his children Anneliese and Egon is a dramatic, tearful and adventurous story of a Jewish family. It is mainly characterized by the repressible and never doubting will of the father to persevere and to try, despite of all the hostility and threats, to walk with their heads held up high, through their story. "Give up? – Never!" was Julius Bamberger motto to live. He has neither given up while the prosecution nor in prison and internment camp. In the end he succeeds to survive with his children.
