Anna, a young Catholic nun from Poland, is sent as a missionary into the Himalayas. Anna has spent half her life in a convent. Now, for the first time, she goes to another country: to Ladakh which is part of Tibet and in the territory of India.A closed mountain pass forces Anna to spend a few days in a town not far from her destination. For the first time, Anna has to face the outside world from which she escaped, in a strange town, in the middle of a completely foreign culture. It's almost a different planet. This unpredictable world that she has never seen before as well as three accidental encounters will force Anna to face some complex questions about life.
