Sami was at his parents’ house back in the village, when peace began to break out. He had gone there with his wife and kid for his brother's wedding . Back in the village people told him, “There’s no place like home,” and asked when he’d be coming back, but deep down Sami knew that he had forgotten. You can’t be away for that long without forgetting something. The wedding was beautiful and for a few hours it seemed as if no one had a care in the world. That all changed on the way back to Jerusalem, when a soldier camped out on the road ,signaled Sami to stop and turn the car around . The road was blocked. Sami tried to argue, but it was late, and he was a soldier. So they headed back to Sami’s parents’ home, thinking they’d return the next morning. But the road was closed the next morning too and there was a huge traffic jam from all the other cars trying to leave for work. Step by step Sami realize that this is not a regular roadblock but a closure, a general separation that locks the inhabitants inside the village. Sami cast back to the heart of the Arabic village “System” with everyone turning to him for advice, forcing him to decide where his real allegiance was.
