Synopsis

SYNOPSIS (EN)
A gay couple is worn out by the family-forming project. Mateo (55), a frustrated and immature photographer, is not very enthusiastic about it and has been carried away by the project, but in front of the possibility of "renting a womb" in Paraguay, he takes a step back, seeing his ethics questioned. Martín (45), a more traditional man, supports the infidelities of Mateo, his first and only gay couple, and supports the relationship with the hope of being a father. The situation reaches a breaking point when Martin discovers Mateo kissing another man in his birthday party; resentments and reproaches come to light, leading to a violent rupture.
A desperate call from his sister Fernanda (22), encourages Martin to travel to his homeland, sensing the possibility of clarifying his clouded mind. Her sister, resentful of her long absence, claims help to abort an unwanted pregnancy. This problem sum up to his sexual identity issue regarding his parents, which he haven’t revealed yet. Martin sees resurge a doubt loaded for years; try to form a family with a woman. For his part, Mateo, proud and with a pretended stability, feels the loneliness of his empty home, and once again seeks to escape in the bohemian and youthful world. During a photo shoot, he meets Jonathan (24), a young homosexual model, whom he proposes to seduce. Jonathan gives false illusions and the interest of Mateo becomes obsessive, following him to the places he frequents, desperate to take him to bed. The game of seduction advances until Jonathan unmasks Mateo, forced to face his frustrated and egocentric reality. Wounded deeply in his pride and unable to continue holding the mask of determined man, he calls Martin insistently, looking for emotional support, but he ignores him.
Martin, after being involved in a short but idyllic relationship with Teresa (39), with whom he flirts with the idea of forming a family, becomes aware of the forced fable that he has built, and assumes, with renewed enthusiasm, his sexual condition. Martín finishes to answer the call of Mateo, who expresses sincere regret, willing to do everything in order to be together again, even "buying a son" in Paraguay. But Martín hurts him saying that he has fallen in love with a woman with whom he will form a family. Mateo collapses and, realizing the value of their relationship, travel south to look for him.
Martin, confident of himself and without fear of the judgment of his parents, fills with courage and announces that he is gay and wants to be a father. Fernanda, inspired by her brother's bravery, finds the strength to stay true to herself and decide to have her baby. Martin decides to finish definitively with Mateo when realizing that this one will never be able to commit itself of adult form with his desire. Martin does not rule out the possibility of traveling to Paraguay, this time alone.
