Closer to the answers, far away from the truth. In these lands life is a journey to Jepira, a desert north of guajira facing the sea.
Land of the Wayúu. It’s a land of strong men. It’s a land dominated by women. You live reality in your dreams. What you live in your dreams, you feel in your soul.

Synopsis

If you’re called Alatriste, from which one could clearly deduct that your origin is Spanish, and if on top of that you’re also a brilliant inspector from the “Surete”, before becoming a private detective; and if because of fate, you’d even been subjected to exercise your “savoir-faire” on the land of “La Goajira”, at the extreme Nor-west end of Latin America, right at the border of Colombia and Venezuela - then your universe of certainty and assurances, those that had previously structured your life to that day, is turned up side down.
Especially if your client, “The King of The Goajiros”, decided to change their ancestral rules of the game to quickly succumb to the ways of globalization and hence modernize the destiny of his people: To wed a Criolla heiress from Maracaibo, to restore that way their genetic capital and reconnect with the monetary regional wealth from which they had otherwise been severed. Through this, Goajiros would then distance themselves from their pre-destiny of contrabandists - a thankless labor and whose role of mule would only leave measly profits. If the Goajiros had been the Kings of the Caribe, forced by history to merely inhabit no man’s land; then why not create a space of their own in every man’s land?
But nothing’s perfect; and for that he had to push away his favorite, the legitimate mother of his true Goajira descent, and relocate her to Miami – for which he became the recipient of a magic war against him, declared by the old traditionalist “wayus”. He, who until now, was considered “the untouchable” has to fight for the life of his young wife – the wealthy “Maracaibera”: “The Girl form Maracaibo”.
