Synopsis

"Everyone is the creator of its own adventure,” reads Bepo in the Quixote by the side of the train tracks, and that is the motto that hovers over this road movie about homeless men who wander through the Pampas in cargo trains, odd jobs, women, and the always puncturing wish of returning home. Based on Hugo Nario’s bookBepo: vida secreta de un linyera, and shot in twelve locations in the Buenos Aires province, the film captures a time when anarchist ideas that came in through European immigrants shook the basis of the political, economical, and social order. An order that oppressed workers and forced thousands to a constant homeless life of pursuing hard jobs that would give them a meal or a place to spend their nights in peace, away from police persecution and the demonization they were victims of—but also away from home and their memories.
