Street Literature is a film about a heterogeneous "new wave" of literature. It is called urban to define its modernity, its tongue trafficked from a contemporary orality born in the suburbs. Literature of the city, literature of the suburbs, young literature? Director Keira Maameri started with these questions to draw a portrait of three novelists - Faïza Guène, Rachid Djaïdani, Rachid Santaki - and two cartoonists - Berthet One and El Diablo - fighting existing prejudices about authors from the suburbs.
