The most important culinary revolution in modern times took place in a remote cove on the Spanish Catalan coast: elBulli, 5 times Worlds Best Restaurant, evolved in the minds of two brothers from a poor suburb of Barcelona. Since then the name ADRIÀ has become synonymous of creativity. Ferran Adrià is the famous maestro people know, but behind elBulli’s success was a hidden genius: Albert, Ferran’s little brother. At just fifteen, without vocation or aspiration, Albert started working with his brother. He soon found in cuisine a blank canvas on which to experiment and express. A character full of contradiction, Albert’s career progressed away from the media spotlight that shone on Ferran. Four years after elBulli closed its doors, Albert has harnessed his fear as creative engine and decided to become master of his own world: to build a gastronomic empire in the centre of Barcelona. The heart of this unprecedented venture is Tickets, a 50 Best restaurant that gained its first Michelin star elevating the humble tapas to haute-cuisine and 41º, a mini elBulli that continued to explore the heights of culinary avant-garde. During the course of three years Albert opens five new proposals, facing the challenges of transforming himself into a restauranteur, leader and media personality. Enigma, the restaurant Albert hopes will become the Worlds Best, will prove to be his greatest hurdle. Will Albert escape the shadow of now legendary elBulli and enter the Pantheon of great chefs?
