Synopsis

Burgundy, France. Solange's 60th birthday celebrations are violently interrupted by her estranged brother, Bernard. His outburst will reawaken painful memories and reveal untold stories of the Algerian War.

Inspired by Laurent Mauvignier’s novel, internationally acclaimed auteur Lucas Belvaux revisits the tragedy of the Algerian War of Independence (1954-1962) and the wounds it inflicted on an entire generation.
