Jacob van Zuylen de With, a bizarre millionaire, is totally convinced, that he had reached everything in his live he could. Therefore, he decides to put an end to his life. A secret organisation which is disguised as a „funeral parlour“ offers a grim service: After the „customers“ pay a high amount of money, the „firm“ will help them to get out of life. The „customers“ can decide the way they want to die. Undetermened Jacob takes the packet „the Surprise“ so he will not get to know before, ho wand when he will die. When he chooses a coffin, he meets beautiful Anne de König, who also choosed „The Surprise“-Packet. As they both come closer to each other Jacob is not sure any more: Does he really want to die?
