Synopsis

Hiroko is a single mom to her son, Tomoya. Maintaining a job and being a mom is a struggle. One day Hiroko meets Yasube, who to her disbelief is a samurai from 180 years ago. As Yasube has nowhere to go, Hiroko reluctantly agrees to him moving in with her and her son. In return for this favor, the samurai insists on taking care of the house duties. Hiroko is then able to concentrate on her job. Tomoya likes the samurai, and Yasube enthusiastically learns contemporary chores. Life improves for everyone in the house.
Maybe it isn't so outrageous for the three of them to live together... as a family. As impossible as it may sound, it gradually becomes a reality. As dreams of the future begin to take hold, there's a strange turn of events. Yasube makes caramel custard for Tomoya, revealing Yasube's knack for making sweets. Soon his talent as a pâtissier gets recognized, but the relationship between Yasube, Hiroko and Tomoya gradually starts to lose its fragile balance...
