Synopsis

Sara (Baran Kosari) is soon to be married and struggling with a heroin addiction. While her fiancé is studying overseas, she has a relapse. With her wedding day fast approaching, Sara and her mother Sima (Bita Farahi) travel to a drug rehabilitation centre in the country, where she makes a final effort to stay clean for good.
Directors Bani-Etemad and Abdolvahab illustrate the unusual state of Iranian youth, in a country where people under thirty make up more than seventy per cent of the population. Mainline presents a raw look at the toll drug addiction has taken on these young people.
