Lizzie Richfield is looking for something to inspire her. After being laid off from her long-time job, and recently breaking up with her longtime boyfriend, she feels that this was not where life was supposed to lead her. So, when she lands a job as a house manager for a mansion, she looks at it as the first step in her new life. Robert Marley, the wealthy man who hired her to prepare the Ashford Estate for both the Christmas Eve Gala and the mansions sale is more than just intriguing. Throughout the short time that she spends in the Marley household, Lizzie helps Robert's dysfunctional family connect in a way they have never been able to. Robert is extremely grateful for everything she is doing, and even changes his plans to spend Christmas at the Mansion because of her. Although Lizzie finds herself falling for Robert, his brother Kipp seems to only have eyes for her and professes his love. On Christmas Eve, Lizzie must make her choice.
