The Holy Grail is an icon that has existed more in people's imagination than in the pages of history books. Legends, myths, stories and traditions have adorned the existence and whereabouts of this mysterious cup, full of gifts and virtues that are more suitable to the piety or fanaticism of small towns. However, up until a few years ago, all of these legends and traditions were based more on the need for faith than on historic fact, that is until this perspective changed in 2010. The discovery in the library of Al-Azahar of a historical record of this transaction opens the doors to the history of the Holy Grail. By following the chalice's journey from the table of the last supper to modern times, we begin to examine the successes and failures of the human race that have shaped the world we know today. The chalice travels through time at the mercy of the nobility and the pettiness of men. The rule of a people subjugating others, wars and the extermination of men for religious reasons are the threats that endanger the conservation of this icon. But the respect and growth that is born in people during times of necessity have protected the chalice at every step, making it possible for it to still be with us today. The story of the chalice is the story of the eternal battle between the harmony and hatred of men. The fact that the chalice has survived the upheavals of history shows us that despite the failures of the past different people and cultures are capable of accepting and respecting one another. This is the history of human beings, born in a humble cup that survived 2000 years of civilization.
