Synopsis

Seminary student Danny Sullivan begrudgingly returns to his snow-covered, Midwestern hometown to understudy his longtime, terminally ill pastor, Father Rob. But as questions swirl about the young man's past, Danny shifts his focus to finding his estranged brother, Jake.
With the help of Nicole, a hipster hair stylist from his past, Danny sets off into the night woods to find Jake, setting in motion a story of reconnection. Their interactions during chores, church, ice fishing and festivities twist and turn, from friendly adventures to heated confrontation. As tensions erupt, the brothers find themselves in violent altercation over the past event that sent them on divergent paths in life.
