Synopsis

The French anthropologist Marcel Lefavre is eaten by cannibals and vanishes in Brazil, living behind his unfinished journal. His unwilling pupil Alberto Lupo, a Brazilian writer living in Europe, returns to his home country to finish his work. In the landscape, in the culture and in the feminine figure of Betania, Alberto is faced with everything that he had run away from: the power of nature and its essence of life. It is the beginning of his transformation.
