Franco and Dino, two Italian mechanics from Rome, confirmed bachelors and best buddies, leave for Las Vegas to take part in the Harley-Davidson world rally, one of their shared passions in life. They hope to win the competition and its grand prize which could set them up for good. But their ultimate dream in this world is actually of a very different nature: music. The two Italians sing and dance melodically along to the hits of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin innocently unaware that they could easily turn this natural talent into a fruitful career. Arriving in America, the two characters embark upon a series of adventures. Between high speed motorbike chases, nights spent in prison and close encounters with American call-girls, Dino and Franco soon realise that their stay in America is going to be more eventual than they previously imagined. The trouble starts when their precious Harleys are stolen on the very same day that they make it through to the final of the rally. And if that’s not enough, together with their motorbikes, they find that all their cash has disappeared too! As Franco and Dino despair, a young Italian immigrant, Samuele (or ‘Sammy’ to use his stage name) comes to their aid. Together with this aspiring showman, the two mechanics, after unsuccesfully trying their luck in a casino, find themselves auditioning for a musical at Caesar’s Palace. They get the parts.. And so they begin their rise to stardom. “The Clan” as Frank, Dean and Sammy become known (“American” in every way) very quickly becomes a symbol of success. They have everything: money, fame, women.. But what they don’t know is that success and misfortune often go hand in hand…and dreams don’t always come true…
