Synopsis

“It’s simple, this job: stick to the rules, tell them everything, leave and never come back.”
DAVIS and BENNETT are a mismatched pair of travelling salesmen in the business of cleaning out skeletons from closets. Together they travel across Britain, wandering in and out of other people's lives, performing 'the Procedure' whereby hidden secrets and lies are exposed. To literally fetch skeletons out of closets.
Bennett, a stickler for keeping to the rules, discovers Davis has been "glow-chasing". This is the term for using the Procedure to consistently re-live a past memory and not only is it illegal under their employer Veridical’s rules but dangerous for the individual. People have been known to "go Bulgarian" after glow-chasing i.e. experience a breakdown and find themselves only able to speak and understand Bulgarian.
Bennett threatens to tell their boss, THE COLONEL, as a way to keep Davis in line but actually can't bring himself to rat Davis out. The Colonel assigns them to a bigger job; a graduation test that could take them onto more important jobs for Veridical. But when the duo arrive at a remote family home and can't seem to get the job done, they discover that you can't always get away from your own skeletons and you can't always leave and never come back.
