Yasuaki Shikano was 12 years old when he was first diagnosed as progressive muscular dystrophy. At the age of 23, he chooses a life of independence with volunteers, rather than being cared for by his parents nor living in a special facility. Tanaka, a medical student joins the volunteers and finds out Shikano’s selfishness, such as he suddenly says “I want to eat a banana” in the middle of the night. However, his eccentric character somewhere not hated. One day, Shikano crushes on a new volunteer Misaki. He asks Tanaka to write a love-letter for him without knowing that they are dating. Moreover, Shikano’s condition gradually worsens. Although the body getting wilted more and more, he never gives up his dream coming true― The movie is based on a true story.
