Manso Vital has been expecting to adopt a child for 12 years. On the day the adoption finally comes through, he also finds out that he has an illness he considers to be terminal, and therefore he decides to return the child in order to die in peace. But the agency does not accept it. Manso must fill out forms, make errands, bank payments, medical review, etc.. In the meantime, the child must stay with him until the agency picks him up. And as Manso prepares all the details for his funeral, by choosing his words of farewell, the quality of the coffin, and even who should carry the coffin handles, the child struggles to live, asking questions, seeking to resolve issues, to finally making discoveries, some of them essential for human life.
