Synopsis

This film explores VIOLENCE from the point of view of people and their everyday life, using stories, perhaps similar to many, but without going into details, from the observation of simple, daily events, framed by the rarefied atmosphere of normality that surrounds us in the midst of that violence.
This cinematographic exercise gambles on not averting one’s gaze or copping out on moral justifications and common-place stances. It attempts to observe, not simply to look. To observe the experience of captivity, of time passing, days that are always the same; to observe the apparent simplicity of a hideous crime or the savagery of a lesson just like any other, which is at once unlike any other.
VIOLENCE, as a film, is a sketch of a vicious game in which we are all, without exception, mere game pieces with no identity, playing roles in a setting that seems impossible to escape.
