Perón Perón has its origins in the discovery of audio tapes from an interview recorded with Juan Domingo Perón in 1969. Taking this as a starting point, the documentary searches within the peronist iconography for answers to a question that is as ungraspable as it is perfect: what is peronism?

Perón Perón is a documentary that has its origins in the discovery of audio tapes from an interview recorded with Juan Domingo Perón in 1969. Taking this as a starting point, the documentary searches within the peronist iconography for answers to a question that is as ungraspable as it is perfect: what is peronism? And with this search, the intimate voice of Perón meets with the traces that this peronism has left in the present. The title refers to this meeting between both peronisms: the “pure” peronism in the words of Perón himself and the peronism that lives from the memory of the one past, that feeds from it and transforms it. Perón Perón is a documentary in five chapters in which, in short, a dialog between the past and present is created, giving new meaning to one and the other. All the chapters reconstruct, through the confrontation between the voices of the peronist past and the present of its iconography, the steps that lead to the construction of a myth.
