Synopsis

Two Haitian farmers, destitute after the earthquake, plan to immigrate to Florida. Their teenage daughters, Jacques and Fredeline, who are neighbors and lovers, want to stay together. So they run away fromhome, pretend to be orphan sisters in Port-au-Prince, blackmail a corrupt
adoption agent, and finally get adopted by Natalia, a wealthy leftist Brazilian woman looking to adopt the ‘perfect children’. Soon, sexual tensions rise between the three, leading Fredeline to sabotage Jacques’ birthday party. Natalia is left blind by Jacques’ actions and their relationship is destroyed. Jacques escapes to Brazil by pretending to be a stewardess on a cruise ship. Natalia and
Fredeline decide to rest by taking a vacation, but coincidentally board the cruise ship Jacques is on. After a confusion of identities, a theft, imprisonment and emotional outbursts, the three flee the cruise ship and escape
