When Jessica's father looses his job, their family life becomes an impossible struggle. While her parents try to repair their already off-balance relationship and her sister becomes increasingly obsessed with boys, Jessica is left to her own devices. The lack of communication between the parents and their incapability to manage their off kilter situation, culminates in a horrifying event, that Jessika is forced to witness. In the face of her parents delusional denial, Jessica begins to fall into a deep self destructive depression. To save herself from her family's dark abyss, and despite her parents continuous attempts to hold her back, Jessica decides to take her future into her own hands and takes a very courageous step...
