For many years, Rolo Santos was the bodyguard of a famous gangster, but he is too old for the job now. With the help with two new young buddies, with manners very different from his, he embarks in what may be his last mission: recovering the gold hidden in the mansion his former boss had left after the revolution, seized power in 1959. The expropriation of abandoned houses, like the one they try to move into now, is one of the reforms the new government announced. Surrounded by the police, he has no way out but proving that he still is what he used to be: a tough buy.
