Synopsis

Rescued as a newborn among the rolling dunes of an unforgiving Arabian desert by a Bedouin boy named OMAR, camel RAMI grows to become Omar's best and most loyal friend. However, uncertainty hovers over them, for the young boy is sick. One night, when Omar falls very ill, his parents are forced to make a mad rush toward the city to get him medical attention, leaving Rami behind in his deep sleep.

Determined to find his best friend, Rami takes all his courage to cross the camp boundaries and set foot into the desert that he has avoided since Omar saved him all those years ago. He is joined by a cunning desert fox named TARIF, claiming to be a prince, but who is – obvious to anyone but the overly trusting Rami – just a scoundrel trying to loot the family's camp and using Rami to carry the goods; and SAFA, an ill-tempered, yet motherly goat who decides to come along cause her instincts tell her she can't leave the innocent camel alone with a scheming fox.

And so an unlikely trio sets out on a journey across a majestic and mysterious desert, and while their friendship begins to grow, they have to overcome quicksand and mirages, the traps of an ancient city and the rumblings of sand spiders following them in the distance, and above all a delusional badger named BASIL, guarding an abandoned British outpost from wars long ago, while awaiting her majesty's return.
