Synopsis
Leila is both a singer and a filmmaker. Bill, the man she was in love with, has left her for another woman. She leaves to start a new life in Berlin. From Brussels, she takes with her only her guitar, her keyboard and a small camcorder.
Only, before leaving the apartment she shared with Bill, she switches on her camera, and, filming herself, makes a promise to, one day, send Bill the images of her future life. It will be her revenge.
Her arrival in Berlin isn’t easy. She’s alone and doesn’t know the language or the culture. And the past still haunts her.
Bit by bit, though, she begins to meet a whole series of other lonely souls, and as her self-confidence returns, she decides to film these new encounters. She also rediscovers her desire to make music.
Bill will never get to see the images she films.
This is a story of crossing paths. It’s a musical road-movie with Leila, re-learning to live, and opening herself up to the world, as its guide.
