"Homo" from the Latin word meaning human is a film composed of six intertwining stories. Each one of them has a separate title according to the main character of the story, borrowed from the terminology used by philosophic anthropology, trying to define the specifics of humanity. Homo Faber (working man) is a story about 30-year old VICTOR.During his regular check in with the Employment Agency, he has to accept to be a grave digger in order not to lose his health insurance. But his life changes the first day on the new job. The last will and testament is read at a funeral. The reposed billionaire leaves all his riches to the youngest grave-digger at his grave. Homo Adorans (worshipping man) is a story about the widow PETRA, who is playing out the greedy priest HRISTO. Her donation for the Church means only a transfer of huge debts, and shes free from them now.Homo Ludens (playing man) is a story about PAOLA and her gambling addiction. Trying to settle a huge debt to a notorious Usurer, Paola gambles with her freedom and ends up being his slave.The comedian named Sokrates is Homo Ridens (Laughing man). In his stand-up act he publicly ridicules a local power player, after which his life turns into a nightmare, and he ends up behind bars the same night. Homo Economicus (earning man) follows KETI, a street prostitute desperately needing money so she wouldnt be evicted from her home. When everything seems hopeless, a customer appears and pays her generously for a single hug.Thats GOGI - Homo Amans (loving man). A boy with Downs Syndrome, punished by god to love unconditionally. While his mother is at her dead bed, Gogi founds out that he just lost his biological father, too, the one he has never met. Gogi arrives at the funeral of the billionaire from the first story, and from the inheritance, he gets only the framed death photograph of his father. He hugs it from all his heart.
