Synopsis

WARSAW STORIES is a full length feature novella comprised of six stories, including a leading theme which ties all of them together.
The hero of the leading story is Needle, who has been through a religious conversion and desires to redeem people. On his journey he meets the lead characters in the other novellas, connected with Warsaw but different in every other aspect – age, sex, and social status.
Among them is Marcin – a businessman’s chauffeur and victim of mobbing, Lucy – dreamer working in a sex shop, Filip – a teenager desperate to escape his home village, Jurek – a bitter alcoholic who gave up on life and Monika – a corporate, career oriented single. What they all share is loneliness and alienation, so prevalent among residents of the modern metropolis.
As the film unfolds, each of them experiences something of a reawakening, a rebellion, an attempt as another burst which will surely change their life. This could be the breaking of a series of humiliations, an instinctive act of compassion towards a stranger, a suicide attempt, or… murder.
