Mamonga is a three-part film showing how one event completely changes the lives of our female andmale protagonists.The first part portrays their conservative hometown, where they grew up in families of different socialstatus. One night she gets raped after refusing a guy in the club and he witnesses without being able tohelp her.The next two segments show their lives ten years later. He took a vow of silence in a remote mountainvillage, living in complete isolation until destiny decides to put him to the same test. Another woman introuble appears, only this time she’s a wounded lost Asian who survived a car crash close to his village.Our female protagonist moved to a big city, where she is raising her six-year old child who refuses tospeak. She struggles, believing that it is for a good cause. The child gets lost and ends up in thecountryside. She comes to pick him up and faces the rural setting for the first time since she left.
