It’s a kung fu film on the teenage of Yue Fei (March 24, 1103 – January 27, 1143), an acclaimed ancient military general and the epitome of loyalty in China. During the era of Northern Song Dynasty, the Yue’s Village starts to have its own school. The renowned principal Zhou Dong is fond of Yue Fei so much that he takes him as a disciple, teaching him martial arts, and Zhou Yao, the daughter of Zhou Dong, is the martial arts tutor of the school. Later Yue Fei has got a hostile classmate called Pan Jun, who is the son of the magistrate of Tangyin. But a real trouble comes when the evil-minded Shi Wengong, one of Zhou Dong’s disciples, has escaped from Liangshan heroes’ roundup and crept into Tangyin. By chance, Shi takes Pan Jun as his pupil and kidnaps Zhou Yao in order to blackmail Zhou Dong into giving in all his collection of ancient books on martial arts. At the crucial moment, Yue Fei leads his friends to build the apparatus which set off a series of breathtaking and amusing fights packed with wisdom and courage against their enemies.
