Duyên marries a taxi-driver that she met shortly before, without being aware of the deep feelings that Câm, her best friend, has for her. Câm hides her love, as well as her jealousy, and, in a very subtle manner, forces Duyên into the arms of an experienced and seductive man called Thô. With him, for the first time, Duyên discovers her femininity that had been confined until then within the constraints of traditional morality.
