Giuseppe is visited by his father Gumaro, whom he thought death since he was a child. His father comes back to give him an inheritance that Giuseppe can’t reject. To receive it Giuseppe must travel with Gumaro to look for it. The trip is a learning and reconciliation ritual.

Giuseppe is a modest and neat barber from a town in Cordoba. His routine and peaceful life is only broken by the obsessive permanence of a dream that reminds him of the brutal moment in which he witnessed his brothers’ murder, thirty years ago. Giuseppe has a strong resentment against his father who was the head of a thieves’ gang. One day his father, Gumaro, shows up to give him an inheritance: ten kilograms of gold. In order to receive it Giuseppe must travel with him. Reluctant and full of resentment, he starts a journey that becomes an ordeal and that will lead him to recover the bond with his father. The old “uncivilized” man has prepared this trip for years as an “initiation” for his son. It is time to teach him everything that matters and he will do it his own way even though his son is now forty years old.
