“This is the story of my birth, and it somehow resembles a hunting.”María is a teacher in a small village of La Pampa. Her husband Lionel is a petty politician with violent habits. She is about to become a mother, and she has decided to leave him and raise his child in a better place.One night as many others, the domestic argument comes along with a firearm and María’s plans come to light. A shot in the middle of the night hastens her escape. Now she must embark on a journey to the deepest desert of La Pampa. With the son in her womb and an uncertain future, she decides to go back to Naicó, the village of her childhood, whose reputation is shaped by delusional and disturbing stories. On that trip to her past, María meets the strange characters that inhabit those forgotten places. Some are friendly, others not so much.
