Synopsis

July 1999. 17 years old Sami has been sent by his dad to his cousin Azdade (skinny) in a small village in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco to make a man of him. Azdade takes the teen under his wing and tries more or less to round out his education. Sami is a bit of a pain in the neck but loveable.
All Sami wants is to go back to France before his 18th birthday so he can get French nationality and get back together with Melanie, his French girlfriend.
Sami comes up with a plan to steal an ox from the Moroccan royal family’s ranch and sell it to pay for the crossing back to France. And Azdade finds himself the unwilling accomplice in a foolhardy crime.
But stealing from the king is an act of treason, and two special cops from the Ministry of Interior are put on the case. Ali and Moulay set out in hot pursuit of the cattle thieves.
