Jasper (RAY WISE), a mysterious man dressed in orange and black, is picked up by a friendly ride- share driver named Jim (Sean Gunn). The two men get into an intense discussion about Halloween in which it's revealed that Jasper takes the holiday and its customs very seriously, with a particular fondness for scary stories. Jasper demands Jim tell him the scariest story he can think of, and Jim responds with a cliche-ridden ghost story. Not satisfied, Jasper stabs his driver to death and takes over the car for the rest of the night, picking up passengers and subjecting them to his ghoulish game. Elise, a strong-willed young woman on her way to a costume party, survives by telling a haunting ghost story. Her friend Sarah is not so lucky. Now, it's up to Elise to track down the evil driver and put an end to his annual night of horrors once and for all.
