In 1990, cartoonist Yves Chaland disappeared at the age of 33. Twenty-five years later, his memory is astonishingly alive. Such inescapable creators as Zep, Charles Berbérian, Bruno Gaccio or Benoit Poelvoorde claim to be his master, and his work, of barely a dozen albums, seems to retain a power of evocation intact.
