This Jewish-American stand-up comedian's outrageous, taboo breaking humour helped liberalise the American Entertainment industry during the tumultuous 1960's and he has become an inspirations for many of today's comedians. His battles with authority and with his own demons that ultimately led to his untimely death in 1964 were immortalized in the Oscar-nominated Bob Fosse Film 'Lenny' starring Dustin Hoffman.
