GREEN DESERT is a feature length documentary about food production that shows the current mechanisms of the agricultural industry, raising the need to visualize problems associated with this business, such as deforestation, desertification, soil and agrochemical contamination. In Ituzaingo, a small town in Argentina, surrounded by soybean fields, hundreds of people die of cancer being poisoned by pesticides. Alerted by the health of their own families and the community, a group of women begin to gather for joint actions. By taking significance the “map of death” that these draws, an unprecedented trial begins.
