Victor is a neighborhood barber who begins to rebuild his emotional life after his mother’s death. His life revolves around his house and his barbershop. Nothing special ever seems to happen to him. Nothing, until one day, fate brings him to Rio de Janeiro.

Victor is an average neighborhood barber, with a well organized routine: Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm work at the barbershop; Friday play dominos with friends; Saturday watch the Atlas football game; Sunday buy the weekly groceries, clean the house and at night watch a classic Mexican movie. He drinks more than he should in a daily basis and there are never any great surprises or new events.After the recent death of his mother, Victor is forced to reconstruct his life alone. In the midst of the grief, Susy Santillan, his ex wife, suddenly reappears. Victor makes his best effort to recuperate something from this long abandoned relationship. However, these unsuccessful attempts only will bring him to a deeper sadness. His only relief is his frequent drinking while listening to romantic music, and his naïve flirting with the young girl who brings him food at the barbershop.One day, someone he had not seen since he was 3 years old comes along: his father. However, Victor did not remember him, he was not even sure if he still lived, and he did not know that he was Brazilian.As a consequence of this meeting, Victor travels to Brazil where, even though his life doesn’t radically change, a new freedom begins to shape it. Things start to acquire a particular logic, as if in a movie from another era: there are retroprojection scenes in daily settings; color and sound disappear; and the smallest trip resembles a great adventure in which Victor appears determined to explore a new perspective of his life.
