Remo and Irma, a young couple who were militants of the Agrarian Leagues try to survive from the military persecution by taking refuge for a couple of months in the Littoral’s rain forest. Despite the poor conditions Irma gives birth to Marita. Realizing how difficult it would be for them to survive with a newborn they decide to leave the girl in the care of a couple living in the rural area. The pressure of the military forces is becoming unbearable and everything starts to fall apart.Marita is discovered and kidnapped by the head of the military intervention. Then Remo and Irma face a big dilemma, they could leave the country and join a group of exiles or stay and try to recover their daughter at risk of losing their life.
