Vicente has a comfortable and well-structured life. Yet he is unable to see how superficial his luck is. And so he is very surprised that once he gets under pressure everything begins to crumble away. Antonio, a man without a past, begins his story with an absolutely disrupted life that slowly begins to find a structure in between the chaos and garbage of life and society. Intersecting the stories of these two men through montage, the film will slowly show that they are actually the same person. “Amid Valleys and Mountains” is a great story of a man who loses everything, reaching the grade of physical and emotional garbage. And it is also the story of this man rebuilding his life. Amazingly, the place that should be the end of all our resources – poisoned, dirty, lost, disgusting and buried into mountains – serves as the platform for restoration, for the recycling of this man.
