3 FACES follows the story of three Iranian actresses: one from pre-Revolution days who had to stop acting, one popular star of today known throughout the country and one young girl longing to attend a drama conservatory. Past, present and future. The strength and determination of Iranian women, the art of storytelling in all levels of society, and the power of images and cinema are among Panahi's favorite themes explored once again in his new film with the director's trademark wry humor and mystery.
