Synopsis

"Andrew Carnegie: Rags to Riches, Power to Peace" follows in the footsteps of Andrew Carnegie - the Scottish-American billionaire philanthropist - revealing the secrets, controversies, and triumphs of the original self-made man and steel magnate, who failed to achieve his utopian dream of preventing World War 1 and changing the course of history as we know it.
Including interviews from family members and modern-day philanthropists, this biography traces Carnegie’s path from his humble beginnings and charts his unparalleled rise. It concludes with the never-before-told story of his ill-fated journey to stop the war, which took him to the corridors of power in America and across Europe, and led him to die a broken man with an unfulfilled dream.
