Synopsis

DIANA is a beautiful young Afro-Peruvian who has just turned eighteen and dreams about leaving her hometown, her dirty chaotic neighborhood, and the small house, which she shares with her parents and sisters. She still hasn't finished secondary school, but she would like to study astronomy as she is fascinated by stars and constellations.
When she meets MEINOLF, a young German businessman passing through Peru, she thinks he is a godsend. He is friendly and kind, and the only one who doesn't want to sleep with her after their first kiss or do anything that she doesn't want to. Because of this she doesn't think twice when Meinolf suggests moving with him to Germany to work and save money to help her family.
Shortly after arriving at Düsseldorf, Meinolf hands her over to a band of pimps who lock her up in a brothel called The House of the One Hundred Windows, where she will be displayed like a commodity and treated like a slave.
SILVIA, a Peruvian author who lives in Germany, investigates the mysterious life of Karla Tseng, an artist who suddenly had a mental breakdown and was confined to an institution. Silvia senses that Karla’s last paintings could point towards a horrendous event in her past. Silvia lives a carefree life in a forward- looking, tolerant society. Nevertheless, sometimes she thinks that this tolerance is nothing more than a form of indifference. She confirms this every time she goes past the horrible House of the One Hundred Windows, where women are displayed like objects in numbered windows.
Silvia discovers the reason for Karla's downfall and finally receives an offer from an important publishing house to publish her novel, but she can't attend a decisive meeting because of a chance encounter with Diana, the young woman from window 31. Diana’s survival instinct and desire for justice helped her to survive until she found a way to free herself and get her revenge on the man who ruined her life. Diana's passion for looking at the stars will be a great ally in this purpose as Meinolf is unaware that one shouldn't look at the sun through a telescope.
