Billy (Josh Henderson - "Dallas") and Sarah (Haley Webb - "Final Destination"), two delinquent young lovers travel from Los Angeles to a small town in Texas to falsely claim a dead friend's inheritance, but they wind up in a nightmare of greed and betrayal when foul play surrounding the death is discovered. To make matters worse, almost everyone associated with the riches of the "Niles" property has some kind of a stake in the succession of the fortune. The local sheriff (Beau Bridges - "The Descendants", "The Fabulous Baker Boys") is suspicious of the two out-of-towners, but the attorney representing the estate (Aidan Quinn - "The Mission", "Legends of the Fall") seems friendly enough, until a dark family secret is uncovered. As the turn of events reach a boiling point, it's clear as day that the couple's scheme to pull a fast one, was an ill-fated plan to begin with.
