Rio de Janeiro, 1997, the country goes through a privatisation process. The life of Kleber, 55 and that of his family changes drastically when he has to fire his entire team and then is forced into early retirement.

1990s, Rio de Janeiro. Kleber is in his fifties and works in a state-owned company, which is going through a restructuring process. Soon the company will be privatized. Kleber has no choice: he must fire members of his small competent team and then he is forced into early retirement. He struggles. Small white spots appear on his skin. His wife Sonia and his daughter Rosa understand the delicate situation Kleer is going through and shower him with love and affection. For a short while, he experiences some reprieve, but then the dismissal of colleagues and early retirement come back to haunt him. And more white spots appear on his skin. Kleber decides to leave in Rio de Janeiro. His wife and daughter don’t follow him. Back in his small hometown, surrounded by nature and the forests from his childhood, Kleber reinvents his life. A past ex-girlfriend becomes his new partner. Childhood friends have turned into Kleber’s middle-aged drinking buddies. Only the jaguar that as a boy both fascinated and frightened Kleber no longer exists. He’s become a dream.
