Synopsis
The man, Su-in
“Can you still love me like this?”
A promising chef, Su-in (KIM Nam-gil), gets falsely charged for murdering his wife. He spends hard, painful days in prison over the loss of his wife as well as being betrayed by her. One day, he hears that a prison mate, Sang-byung (JUNG Yoon-min), will soon be released because he has AIDS. When Su-in uses Sang-byung to get infected with AIDS, he finds out that an AIDS patient being released was just a rumor and falls in despair. But with Sang-byung’s help, Su-in eventually succeeds in escaping out of prison. Later, Su-in sets out to get revenge on the real killer, but losses the chance in a sudden accident. He ends up on the run without being able to prove his innocence. Eventually, he goes to ‘Café le Lute’ that Sang-byung had asked him to visit. There, Su-in meets Mia who appears to have similar heartaches and scars as himself, and starts having feelings for her.
The woman, Mia
“It doesn’t matter who you are.”
Mia (HWANG-WOO Seul-hae) had once worked as an assistant to Sang-byung who is a magician. She gets painfully scarred for loving Sang-byung and gets caught up in a tragic incident. After Sang-byung gets imprisoned, Mia runs ‘Café le Lute’ alone, with her heart closed off to everyone around her. Later, she ends up hiring Su-in, who suddenly appears one day, as the chef. Watching Su-in who seems to have a dreadful heartache from the past, Mia starts to feel compassion for him. Mia slowly starts to open up her heart to him and falls in love.
To Su-in and Mia who think they can never love anyone else again, a fated love rushes in like the storm…
