A group of entitled Beverly Hills oceanography students arrives at a mansion in Malibu, to study the local ocean waters. Their teacher has lined up a guest lecturer to speak to his students and scheduled several trips into the warm, blue waters. And while the students are eager to learn in the field, most of them are also eager to party hard in a kick-ass mansion on the Pacific. However, one of the students is a little uneasy about the trip. The student's father was a world renowned expert on the anthropological significance of ocean life on native peoples. He discovered the secret rituals of a Native Mexican tribe who worshiped the Great White Shark and in particular a massive ‘ancient’ one that swam frequently in the waters off Baja Mexico.Using the information he gleaned from the tribe he engaged a bit of self-promotion, organizing a mercenary shark hunt and bagging the animal in a story that drew headlines from around the world. Unfortunately, it also drew the ire of the Tribe. Before he could revel in his newfound celebrity, he disappeared, never to be heard from again. The student's only memento of her father’s apparent end is a shark-tooth necklace one of the guides fashioned for her out of some of the beasts teeth. However, someone… or something, has other, more murderous intent, as the Students begin to disappear, one by one, murdered by some flesh-shredding entity, leaving wounds similar in nature to a shark attack. But how is that possible, when the nearest ocean is a half-mile away?
